EVergreen Review for September 2026
Most bettors who want to try +EV betting run into the same wall. The tools that do it well cost $80 to $200 a month, the screens are built for people who already know what a devig is, and a newer bettor ends up paying for an odds service they barely understand. Plenty of them give up and go back to paying a handicapper instead.
EVergreen is a +EV betting app built for exactly that bettor. It costs $4.99 a month, it grades every bet it shows you, and it explains why each one has an edge in plain English. As EV tools go, it is about as straightforward as it gets, and I mean that as a compliment. Your $5 is better spent on a +EV feed than on a handicapper charging ten times more for a fraction of the edge.
I tested EVergreen for a little over two weeks, working the +EV feed day to day on the iOS app. The short version: it works. Many times I tapped a high EV bet graded A or A+, fully expecting the price to be gone, and it was still sitting there at the book. It is not a pro level tool and it is not trying to be one. It is trying to make +EV betting simple enough that a recreational bettor can open the app, follow the feed and understand what they are doing, and on that goal it delivers.
It is also brand new, run by a solo builder, and about two months old at the time of writing, so there are rough edges. I cover every one of them below. For how it fits against the wider field, see our best sports betting tools rankings.
What Is EVergreen?
EVergreen is a +EV sports betting app that compares sportsbook prices against a fair price built from sharp books and prediction markets, then grades each bet and suggests a stake. It is built for newer and recreational bettors who want to bet with the math on their side without paying for a pro tool.
It runs on iOS, with a web app that exists but is still rough, and costs $4.99 a month or $49.99 a year. Alongside the +EV feed it includes an odds screen covering up to 23 books per game, an Arbs+ tab for arbitrage and middles, bet tracking graded against the closing line, and a 21 lesson +EV course. EVergreen is an analytics tool, not a sportsbook, and it never takes bets or holds your money.
How to Sign Up at EVergreen
The iOS app is the version to use. The web app works, but it was noticeably glitchier during my testing, and the app is where the product is headed. Signing up takes a couple of minutes:
Open EVergreen through BetSmart. This is a dedicated landing page with both BetSmart codes listed.
Tap Download for iPhone and install the app. If you are on a computer, Use EVergreen on the Web opens the browser version instead.
Create your account and pick the sports you want to follow. The sport filters include NFL, WNBA, MLB, college football, soccer, UFC and boxing.
Go to the Go Premium page in the app and enter BETSMART14 for 14 days free on the monthly plan, or BETSMART2WEEKS for 14 days free on the annual plan. On iPhone you can also redeem through the App Store offer code link on the landing page.
Start with the default fair value settings and the Learn tab. The defaults are sensible, and the first four lessons take about 18 minutes.
Without a code the standard trial is seven days, so the BetSmart codes double it. That extra week matters, because two weeks is about the minimum to see how the feed behaves across a full cycle of MLB and football slates.

Key Features of EVergreen
EVergreen does one thing well and builds everything else around it. The +EV feed is the product, and every other tab exists either to help you act on it or to help you understand it.
The +EV Feed
Each card in the feed is one bet, and it reads left to right the way you would want to make the decision: the best available price and the book offering it, the fair odds, the EV, and a letter grade with a confidence score. Below that sits a suggested stake as a share of your bankroll, then every book quoting the market with its own price.
A real example from my feed: Max Scherzer under 4.5 strikeouts was +105 at BetMGM against fair odds of -112, built from a sharp consensus. That is +8.2% EV, graded A+ with a confidence of 71, and the app suggested 1.4% of bankroll. Thirteen books were quoting it, and BetMGM beat ten of them. Everything I needed to decide was on one card.
Game lines update roughly every minute, which is decent for a tool at this price. Where a card links out, Place Bet opens the market directly at the sportsbook. Deep linking works for some sports and is still being built out for the rest.
Fair Value You Can Actually See
Tap into any card and EVergreen shows how its fair price was built. Each book gets a green pill with its own no-vig price and its share of the fair value, so on the Scherzer card Pinnacle carried 36% of the weight and BetOnline 18%. Most tools give you a fair price and ask you to trust it. EVergreen shows the working, which is how you learn to read a market rather than just follow one.
Custom Devigging for Bettors Who Know More
The defaults are built for someone new, but the settings go further than you would expect at $5. Fair value weights let you decide how much each reference counts. Out of the box, game lines weight Pinnacle at 27%, Kalshi, Novig and Polymarket at 18% each, BetOnline at 14% and Betfair Exchange at 6%. Move one slider and the rest rebalance to 100%.
Flip on the I'm an EV pro toggle and every book becomes available, including FanDuel and DraftKings, which sit at zero by default. The app explains why: soft books carry bigger margins and move together, so they agree with each other for reasons that have nothing to do with the true price. Weights are set by bet type, game lines separately from props, though not by individual market.
Parlay Builder With an Honest EV Read
You can add bets from the feed to a slip, and EVergreen prices the parlay against betting the legs one at a time. When I put Osleivis Basabe over 0.5 hits with Riley Greene under 0.5 home runs, it showed +9.82% parlay EV against +4.48% singly, a 51% hit rate, and a banner telling me to bet them separately: the same edge with less variance. It is rare for a betting tool to talk you out of a parlay. There is also a boost selector for sportsbook parlay boosts and a Parlay finder that surfaces the strongest edges at one book.
Arbs+, Middles and Promos
The Arbs+ tab groups arbitrage, middles and promo plays. Arbitrage is live, but it shows few opportunities because the feed is may not fast enough to catch many before they close. One day I saw a ton, the next I saw none. Middles are the stronger part. When I checked, it listed 117, each with the stake split, the numbers that win both sides and what a miss costs, such as about $9.17 on a $100 middle. Every card has an Explain this to me like I'm new link.
The +EV Course and Bet Tracking
The Learn tab holds The +EV Course: 21 lessons, about 102 minutes, and a 30 term glossary, starting with what +EV means and why nobody sells a winning system. Bets you track are graded against the closing line, and your results live in the Social tab, which for now is mostly EVergreen's own posting accounts. A Discord is in the works.
EVergreen Pricing & Plans
EVergreen keeps pricing simple. There is one product and every feature comes with it:
Monthly: $4.99 per month, cancel anytime. The standard trial is seven days, and code BETSMART14 extends it to 14 days free.
Annual: $49.99 per year, which works out to about $4.17 a month, or roughly two months free. Code BETSMART2WEEKS gives it 14 days free.
For context, EVergreen's own pitch is that five +EV bets at a $25 stake cover the month, and the math holds. At a 4% average edge, $125 in action is worth about $5 in expected profit. Most +EV tools we have reviewed charge several times that, and the pro tools earn it with speed and depth. Few put a working +EV feed in a newer bettor's hands for less.
Start through our EVergreen link so both codes are in front of you when you sign up.
EVergreen Promo Code & Free Trial
Use code BETSMART14 for 14 days free on the $4.99 monthly plan, or BETSMART2WEEKS for 14 days free on the annual plan. Both codes are exclusive to BetSmart and double the standard seven day trial.
In the iOS app, enter the code on the Go Premium page. On iPhone you can also redeem it through the App Store offer code link on BetSmart's EVergreen page, which lists both codes. Two weeks is enough to run the feed through a couple of NFL weekends and a full cycle of baseball, track what you bet, and check the results against the closing line before you pay anything.
Why EVergreen Stands Out
It Teaches While You Bet
The thing I like most about EVergreen is how it teaches. It keeps telling recreational bettors that this is a game of numbers and prices, and that you should follow the best available number rather than a gut feeling or a handicapper. That lesson shows up everywhere: in the explanation on every card, in the Explain this to me like I'm new links on middles, in the parlay slip that tells you to bet the legs separately, and in a 21 lesson course that runs from reading American odds to why the board always adds up to more than 100%.
The education is not a help page bolted on the side. It is the reason the product works for someone new. A beginner who uses EVergreen for a month comes out understanding fair value, vig and closing line value, which is more than most paid picks services ever teach.
It Shows Its Work in Public
EVergreen runs a paper account called the Optimizer Bot and publishes every bet it takes, losses included, at evergreenbets.app/bot. It follows one fixed rule set: grade A or better, at least 3% EV, a fair price anchored to a sharp book, and quarter Kelly staking. As of September 24, 2026, it had turned a simulated $1,000 into $1,949.14 across 780 settled bets, a return of 8.8% per dollar staked, with an average closing line value of +0.8%.
The detail worth sitting with is the record: 383 wins and 392 losses. The bot loses more bets than it wins and has still nearly doubled its bankroll, because it only takes prices that pay more than the outcome is worth. That is the entire case for EV sports betting in one line of numbers. EVergreen is upfront that 780 bets is a small sample and that past results do not predict future ones, which is exactly the right way to present it.
It Works at $5
Plenty of cheap tools cut corners on the one thing that matters. EVergreen's feed held up in my testing. Game line prices held long enough to bet, the A+ grades lined up with real gaps against the sharp market, and the prices were still there far more often than I expected from an app at this price. Two weeks is a small sample for results, but the process was right, and at $4.99 a month the bar for paying for itself is very low.
Built for One Job
The builder's goal is to make +EV betting accessible to everyone, to the point that a newer bettor can open the app, tail the feed and come out ahead. That focus shows. EVergreen does not try to be an all in one research suite. It picks one job, a clean +EV feed for bettors who are just getting started, and puts nearly all of its effort there.

Where EVergreen Can Improve
EVergreen is two months old and run by one person, so some of this is simply a product still being built. These are the gaps I hit.
Limits. This is the one I would fix first. There is no talk of sportsbook limits in the app. EVergreen is great at getting newer bettors onto +EV bets, but a recreational bettor tailing the feed and hitting BetMGM every day will eventually get their account limited, and nothing in the app prepares them for it. Adding a lesson on limits, spreading action across books, and pointing users toward prediction markets would close that gap. Our guide to sportsbook limits explained covers what to do in the meantime.
Props are slow. Player props run on about a five minute delay, while other EV feeds deliver them in a second. That is too slow for a pro and fine for a recreational bettor, but it means the sharpest prop edges will often be gone by the time you see them. Game lines, at about a minute, hold up much better.
Depth beyond the feed. The +EV feed is built out very well. The rest is still in progress. Arbitrage shows few opportunities because of latency, the odds screen refreshes on a cycle rather than streaming live prices, and custom devigging works by bet type but not by individual market. At $5 a month, that is closer to a nitpick than a knock.
The settings and navigation. The settings are jumbled right now and need to be cleaner, which matters most for exactly the newer bettors EVergreen is built for. Props are also awkward to reach. You cannot open a game and find its props inside it; you have to go to the separate Props tab. And the web app is still glitchy, which is why I recommend iOS.

Recommended Platforms to Use EVergreen
EVergreen's edge only turns into profit if you hold accounts where its best prices show up, and if those accounts stay open. During my testing the same few names kept appearing at the top of the cards. These are the three I made sure to have:
ProphetX: A CFTC-regulated prediction market where you trade sports contracts peer to peer, so winning traders are not limited the way they are at a sportsbook. ProphetX prices show up across EVergreen's board, including on the Scherzer card above. Sign up through our link and code BETSMART applies automatically. BetSmart earns a commission if you open an account. Read our ProphetX overview.
Novig: A peer-to-peer prediction market, and one of the references EVergreen uses to build its fair price, carrying 18% of the weight on game lines by default. When Novig's price beats fair, you are trading at a market EVergreen itself trusts. Read our Novig review.
BetMGM: A softer sportsbook that regularly lands on the best price in the feed. The Scherzer under was +105 there when most of the board was at -111 or worse. Take its edges, and read the limits section below before you lean on it.
Is EVergreen Legit?
Yes. EVergreen is a legitimate +EV analytics app. It does not sell picks, take bets or hold your money; it shows prices and fair values, and you place any bet yourself at your own sportsbook.
It is built by a solo founder whose stated goal is to make +EV betting accessible to everyone, and I have spoken with him directly. The best evidence is the public ledger: every bet the Optimizer Bot takes is published with its closing line, win or lose, and nothing gets edited afterwards. On iPhone, subscriptions run through the App Store, and EVergreen publishes how it builds fair value in plain English inside the app.
The honest caveat is age. EVergreen is about two months old and run by one person, so expect features to change quickly and some rough edges while they do.
Is EVergreen Worth It?
For newer and recreational bettors, yes. If you have wanted to get into +EV betting but did not want to pay $80 or more for a screen you would not understand, EVergreen is the place to start. At $4.99 a month, it gives you a working +EV feed, a clear grade on every bet, a stake suggestion, closing line tracking and a real course on why any of it works. The mission is right, the education is excellent, and the feed does what it says.
It is not built for pros. If you already run a process on OddsJam, Pick The Odds or a similar tool, do not downgrade automatically. Those tools cost more for a reason: faster props, live odds screens, deeper arbitrage and more control. EVergreen would sit alongside them at best.
The one thing to go in with is a plan for limits. Tailing the feed at the same soft book every day is the fastest way to lose that account, so spread your action and keep prediction markets in the mix.
Use code BETSMART14 for 14 days free and try EVergreen through BetSmart.
Final Thoughts
EVergreen does one thing and does it honestly: a $4.99 a month +EV feed that grades every bet, shows its math and teaches you why the bet is good. It is two months old, its props are slow, its settings need tidying and it does not yet warn users about limits, but none of that changes the core. For a newer bettor who wants to start betting with the math on their side, it is an easy recommendation, and the education alone is worth the price.
