LVLup Props Review for October 2026
Most player prop tools make the same mistake for a casual bettor: they hand you every stat, split and filter at once and leave you to figure out which prop is worth your time. LVLup Props goes the other way. It is a player prop research app built to show you something worth looking at as fast as possible, with an LVLup Score on every prop, prebuilt cheatsheets, and a Bet Breakdown that lays out the case for or against a bet on one screen.
What separates it from the rest of the prop research crowd is what happens after the research. LVLup runs its own survivor and pick'em contests inside the app, with cash prizes the company funds itself, so you can put your reads to the test against other users without leaving the app or risking a deposit. It is the feature that stood out most in my testing.
I came into this review a bit skeptical. On the surface, LVLup looks built for recreational bettors with not much going on, and plenty of clean looking prop apps are thin underneath. Spending time in the app and then speaking with the team changed that read. LVLup is built by winning bettors and data scientists who are deliberately keeping the product simple for casual and intermediate bettors, not because they cannot go deeper. It is not built for pros, and it is not trying to be.
It is also young, about eight months old, so some important pieces are still on the way. I cover all of them below. For how it stacks up against the wider field, see our best sports betting tools rankings.
What Is LVLup Props?
LVLup Props is a player prop research app that scores props with its own LVLup Score, explains each one in a Bet Breakdown, and runs free survivor and pick'em contests with cash prizes. It is built for casual and intermediate bettors who want fast, readable prop research without an overload of data.
It covers NFL, MLB and NBA, launched in March 2026, and runs as a mobile app, with no desktop version yet. The core app is free, with Premium at $14.99 a month and Premium+ at $24.99 a month for the full research tools and its EV metric.
How to Sign Up at LVLup Props
LVLup is a mobile app, but the BetSmart discount only applies when you start on the website, so the order matters:
Go to LVLup Props through BetSmart and create your account on the website.
Choose your plan and enter code BETSMART at signup for 30% off your first month, or 30% off your first year on an annual plan. The code has to be entered on the website at signup.
Download the app and log in with the same account.
Pick your favorite betting platforms so the feed shows prices at the books you actually use. The list covers bet365, BetMGM, BetRivers, Caesars, DraftKings, Fanatics, FanDuel, Hard Rock Bet, PointsBet, theScore Bet and Underdog, plus Novig.
Open the Contests tab and join a free contest. It is the quickest way to see how your reads hold up before you put money behind them.
If you would rather test the waters first, the core research experience stays free, and both paid plans include a seven day free trial.

Key Features of LVLup Props
Everything in LVLup points toward one goal: getting a casual bettor to a prop worth researching in seconds, then giving them enough context to make the decision themselves.
The LVLup Score
Every prop gets an LVLup Score, and it is meant as a starting point rather than a pick. The score blends price and LVLup's own model with historical performance, consistency, sample quality and other context, so a higher score means a prop worth a closer look, not an automatic bet. The team built it this way on purpose. Most tools hand you a number and call it a bet; LVLup wants you to start your research in the right place.
LVLup's models combine bottom up and top down approaches, weighted by sport. NBA and MLB lean on bottom up models, where there is a large sample of games to project from. NFL, with far fewer games, leans more on a top down model that references the sharpest books for player props.
The Bet Breakdown
Tap any prop and the Bet Breakdown lays out the case on one scrolling screen. On a Steelers receiving prop against Cleveland, it showed the last ten games against the line, hit rates for the season, last season, the last ten, the last five and away games, and a matchup rating ranking how many receiving yards Cleveland allows, both overall and to receivers. Below that sat a Game Script panel, which rated the spread, total and team implied total as unfavorable and noted that the projected game flow could reduce receiving volume, followed by the injury report for both teams and an odds comparison across books.
This is the screen that makes LVLup useful for newer bettors. Everything you would otherwise pull from four different sites is in one place, and it reads cleanly.
Discover and Cheatsheets
The Discover tab is the front door: Recent Trends, Browse by Game, Cheatsheets and Browse by Odds, filtered by sport. The cheatsheets are prebuilt research views, including 100% Hit Rate, Fade Spots, Home and Away Advantage, Bounce Back Board, Anytime TD Targets, Elite Matchups, Game Script Edge and Hit Rate Value. Most of them sort by LVLup Score and lean toward standard odds, roughly +130 and shorter.
The EV Metric
Premium+ adds an EV number to every prop, measuring the book's price against LVLup's estimate of the fair price. It sits right under the LVLup Score: on DK Metcalf over 9.5 receiving yards, for example, the app showed an LVLup Score of 78 alongside +4% EV.
It is worth understanding what this EV is and is not. Because it comes from LVLup's own models rather than a race against sharp market prices, it is not a feed of bets to place before the line moves. That is also why the odds refresh rate, every five to ten minutes, matters less here than it would on a market based +EV scanner. If speed is your edge, pair LVLup with a dedicated positive EV betting tool.
Contests, Leaderboards and Community
Contests are the feature LVLup is most proud of, and for good reason. There are free contests open to everyone and premium contests with bigger prize pools, in survivor and pick'em formats, and LVLup puts up the prize money itself. Premium includes one complimentary premium contest entry a month and Premium+ includes two. You research, pick and compete in the same app.
Around the contests sit leaderboards and the ability to follow the top bettors in the community and see what they are betting. The team is building this out further, with friends, team based contests and contests against people you know.
Bet Tracking With Locked Records
My Picks tracks every bet you log. The detail that matters is integrity: every bet, including contest picks, locks just before the game starts, and the edit odds feature is capped at 0.2 above the posted price. That keeps the leaderboards honest, which is the whole point when the contests and community are the draw.
LVLup Props Pricing & Plans
LVLup is moving to a free plus premium model this fall. As of October 2026, the core app is free and there are two paid tiers, each with a seven day free trial:
Free: a good share of the core research experience, plus free contests.
Premium, $14.99 per month: most of the research tools, the cheatsheets and the full Bet Breakdown data, plus one complimentary premium contest entry each month.
Premium+, $24.99 per month: everything in Premium, plus the EV metric, additional advanced data and two premium contest entries each month.
Annual plans are discounted by roughly 33%, and code BETSMART takes 30% off your first month or your first year.
Premium is the plan I would point most people to. At $14.99 it sits at the cheaper end of player prop research tools, and a monthly premium contest entry with real prize money offsets part of the cost on its own. Premium+ makes sense if you want LVLup's EV read built into every prop. If EV is the main reason you are shopping, there are cheaper ways to get it, which I cover in the alternatives below.
Start through our LVLup Props link and enter code BETSMART on the website at signup.
LVLup Props Promo Code & Free Trial
Use code BETSMART for 30% off your first month of LVLup Props, or 30% off your first year on an annual plan. It works on both Premium and Premium+.
The code only applies when you sign up on the website, not inside the app, so start at lvlupprops.ai through BetSmart, enter the code, then download the app and log in. Both paid plans also come with a seven day free trial, and the free plan keeps the core research and free contests open with no card required, so you can see whether the LVLup Score and Bet Breakdowns fit how you research before paying anything.
Why LVLup Props Stands Out
Contests Few Prop Tools Offer
Plenty of tools have leaderboards. Very few prop research apps let you research a slate, enter your picks in a survivor or pick'em contest, and compete for cash the company puts up, all in one place. For a casual bettor, it is a reason to open the app every day, and a way to build a track record before your own money is on the line. I would not have expected this to be the part I cared most about, and it was.
Simple on Purpose, Not Simple by Default
It would be easy to look at LVLup and assume there is nothing underneath. There is. The app is built on bottom up and top down models by a team of winning bettors and data scientists, and the simplicity is a deliberate product choice. When I spoke with the team, the reasoning was clear: most prop tools overload casual bettors with data, so LVLup gives them a starting point first and keeps the deeper data out of the way. You meet the bettor where they are.
A Bet Breakdown That Does the Legwork
The Bet Breakdown is where LVLup earns its keep. Hit rates across five windows, matchup ranks, game script, injuries and odds comparison sit on one screen, so a casual bettor can see why a prop looks good or bad without opening five tabs. It reads as clearly as any player prop research tool I have used at this price.
Records You Can Trust
Locked picks at game start and capped odds edits mean the leaderboard records are real. For an app that leans this much on contests and community, that integrity is what makes the rest worth anything. They also allow users to set unit sizes in the app, so you can track bets at what you are actually betting at. Grading is automatic, but tracking is not.
Know What the Cheatsheets Are Telling You
One thing worth knowing as you explore: the 100% Hit Rate cheatsheet sorts by the longest active streaks, so it surfaces heavily juiced alternate lines, like that DK Metcalf over 9.5 receiving yards at -588. That is by design for a streak board, and most of the other cheatsheets sort by LVLup Score and stay around +130 and shorter. Use the Hit Rate board for ideas, not as a bet list.

Where LVLup Props Can Improve
LVLup is about eight months old and has a clear roadmap. Most of what holds it back is on that roadmap rather than missing for good.
No desktop version. LVLup is app only right now. A web version is on the radar for the next twelve months, and it would help anyone who researches a full slate at a desk.
No deep links into the books. You find a prop in LVLup, then go place it yourself. The team plans to add deep links, with the bet prefilled where each operator allows, in early 2027.
Odds refresh every five to ten minutes. That is standard for a prop research app and less important here because LVLup's EV is model based, but faster updates would make the prices you see more reliable on fast moving markets.
Light on advanced data. This is deliberate, to keep the app readable for casual bettors, and the team could add more. Experienced bettors who want to dig into deeper splits or build their own views will hit the ceiling quickly.
Expect swings. A lot of LVLup's strongest plays sit at longer odds, which means you lose more often up front and make it back when they hit. It rewards bettors who use it a lot over a long stretch, not someone checking in once a week.

Recommended Platforms to Use LVLup Props
LVLup gives you the read. Where you place it decides how much of that edge you keep, and these are the three I would hold:
Novig: A peer-to-peer prediction market, and one of the platforms LVLup prices alongside the major sportsbooks, so it is easy to check its price against the books on any prop LVLup flags. Read our Novig review.
ProphetX: A CFTC-regulated prediction market where you trade sports contracts peer to peer, so winning traders are not limited the way they are at a sportsbook. It is a strong place to trade the player props you research in LVLup. Sign up through our link and code BETSMART applies automatically. BetSmart earns a commission if you open an account. Read our ProphetX overview.
FanDuel: A widely available sportsbook with a large player prop menu, and one of the books LVLup prices in its feed. Read our FanDuel overview.
Is LVLup Props Legit?
Yes. LVLup Props is a legitimate player prop research app. It does not take bets or hold your money; you place every bet yourself at your own sportsbook or prediction market.
It is built by winning bettors and a team of data scientists, with models grounded in both bottom up and top down principles. The company is small and actively growing, about eight months old after launching in March 2026, and I spoke with the team directly while testing the app. The integrity details back it up: tracked bets and contest picks lock before the game starts, and odds edits are capped, so the leaderboards and contest results hold up.
The honest caveat is age. It is a young product, so expect features to arrive quickly over the next year.
Is LVLup Props Worth It?
For casual and intermediate bettors, yes. If you want clean, fast player prop research that tells you where to start, and you like the idea of testing your picks in cash contests, LVLup delivers that better than most apps at its price. Premium at $14.99 a month is the plan to get, and the monthly premium contest entry takes the edge off the cost.
It is not built for experienced bettors who want deep data, custom views or a fast market based EV feed, and Premium+ at $24.99 is a harder sell if EV is the only reason you are buying. Plan to use it often, because the longer odds plays it leans toward need volume to even out.
Start free, try the contests, and use code BETSMART for 30% off when you sign up for LVLup Props.
Final Thoughts
LVLup Props is a clean, approachable player prop app with more behind it than it first appears: real models, a useful LVLup Score, a Bet Breakdown that does the legwork, and cash contests few prop tools offer. It needs a desktop version, deep links and faster odds, and all three are on the roadmap. For casual and intermediate bettors, it is an easy one to try, and the free plan makes that painless.
